WINTER PARK, Fla. (October 19, 2016) — Congressman John Mica released a new television ad today highlighting his opponent’s questionable campaign funding sources, ethics violations and flawed judgment in supporting the Iran cash-for-hostages deal.
The ad entitled “Washington’s Perfect Candidate,” starts with Mica blasting the millions of dollars being spent by Nancy Pelosi and Washington D.C. insiders to buy the seat to put Pelosi in the speaker’s chair.
Then, Mica reveals for the first time how her campaign was launched by former scandalous Savings and Loan bankers, who cost taxpayers more than $500 million and cost thousands of central Floridians their homes. Those same old political power brokers are using her to attempt to regain a base here and in Washington after shamelessly ripping off our community.
Mica continues questioning Murphy’s support of giving ransom money to terrorists in Iran. Every American was sickened by this irresponsible deal that Murphy now champions.
Finally, the ad cites how Murphy’s first failure as a candidate resulted in an independent ethics complaint for failing to properly comply with filing Federal Election Commission financial disclosure laws.
“Before she announced, only a handful of people had ever heard of Stephanie Murphy,” says Mica Campaign Spokesman Alan Byrd. “She has no record in our community. This ad paints a clear picture of the DC pro popped-up straw candidate revealing Murphy’s shady financial backing, flawed judgment and ethics problems. It’s even more clear that we need Congressman Mica’s outstanding track record to continue providing proven leadership for Central Florida.”
Stephanie is BAD for Central Florida but perfect for Nancy Pelosi.
